I'm Still Here...

I know, all of you have been wondering where I have been! Well, I have been right here, how about you? Let's see... I have been working, training, freezing, watching the Olympics, and watching the start of race season!

So, work has been busy and I seem to put in more than 40 hours a week. I guess that's to be expected of the job... So, that has been keeping me busy.

I have been going through training with Bristol still. We go once a week. We have 2 weeks of training left. Maggie and Hubby are still going on Saturdays, they should be almost done with their class.

I have been freezing! We have been having a cold snap. It was 40 degrees yesterday and it felt GREAT! We had a few days where we set new record lows, and it didn't make it to the double digits. It's in the 30's to 40's today.

I have been watching the Olympics. Most evenings are spent glued to the TV either watching Skiing, or Snowboarding or figure skating. I think it's all pretty interesting to watch.

I have been watching the start of race season. The Daytona 500 kicked things off this weekend. We watched it delayed, because we went up to a dog show in Denver. But, it's SO nice to have race season back! It was a long 3 months with out it!

We are having our air conditioner installed today. It's odd to have something that will cool the air installed today, when it's 30 degrees outside. But this summer, it will be nice to have! After last summer, I can't wait to try it out this summer!

Yes, we went up to a dog show in Denver on Sunday. It's the biggest show in Colorado all year. We walked around where the different rings are, and vendors. We ended up sitting for about an hour and watching the agility trials. Agility is what Bristol is going to move on to next. I enjoyed spending time at the dog show.

Hubby is settling into his new job nicely. He has his first travel with them next week. He has to go to Arizona. He leaves on Monday and I believe comes back on Friday evening. He is looking forward to it.

Well, that's about all that's going on. It's pretty boring stuff. But I hope all of you are doing well!

a week

My current class has required that I keep a journal. I did this off-line. I guess keeping some type of journal is a good thing. So I will try to post more, especially since wifey has been falling behind on your duties. ;)

It has been over a week since I started the new job. The differences in management style between the two companies is startling.

Last night in class the following phrase was mentioned.

when changing jobs try not to be leaving something but rather going to something

subtle difference. I was very close to the "I have to leave" mentality prior to jumping ship. I am glad I had something to go to.
