Well, folks, here we are at 17 weeks. I am pretty sure I can feel the baby move now. I had today off from both jobs, so I spent the day in the lazy boy. And during that time I pretty much determined the odd feeling in my belly has got to be the baby moving around. Feels like a fish swimming in my belly. So, I guess I have been feeling it for a little while now and just didn’t realize it. Pretty nifty. Here is what they say the baby is up to:

I have been pretty busy recently. Bristol is in 2 training classes right now. Friday nights we do Agility. He is really enjoying it A LOT. He gets so excited to do all the jumps and tunnels and everything!! On Saturday mornings we have his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class. We are working towards taking the CGC test so he can have his CGC certificate. This is just a great thing for him to have. Plus, this way if we ever decide to go into therapy work, it’s something he will have to have. Maggie starts her next class next week on Tuesday. So, yes I am kind of living at the obedience center recently.
This morning I got up and took Hubby to the airport, again. He was gone all last week and will be gone this week too. After that, I took Buddy to get his nails trimmed and then I came home and spent several hours watering the grass. Which turned out to be a wasted effort because later in the day, it started to rain. And all afternoon it’s been raining off
and on. It’s now raining again. Which I am thankful for, as we really need it, but I wish I would have known this morning it was going to rain!
This week I also finally received the rest of my desk. If you recall a few weeks back I got half of it, because the top half was cracked. So, I actually have a full roll top desk now. Now the next step is to unpack all the boxes from when I packed up my old desk.
Well, I am going to go and unpack a box!

16 weeks
So, I have been a slacker this week. Sorry. I am currently filling in at SH, my old stomping grounds, and Hubby’s new stomping grounds. Their office manger (who took my place when I left) is no longer with them. And since I know that job all ready I am filling in on my days off.
So I made it to 16 weeks! I got some blood test results today. We now know that the baby does not have down syndrome, spine abifida, or some other disease they test for that I can’t remember the name of. Which is good, but I really wasn’t worried. The next big day is May 10 when we find out what the baby is, boy or girl. Plus they will really ‘check the baby over’ that day.
I finally caved and started wearing maternity clothes for the most part. My mom and I spent a few hours on Sunday shopping for some. I had pretty good success and I feel I am ready to face the summer months now. I don’t know that I really need maternity clothes yet, but since they feel so comfy, I guess I did! So much better than my non-maternity clothes
So, here I am at 16 weeks now. I am finding out that there are still some aspects of pregnancy that the books never discuss. And that’s always interesting to deal with. You also learn a lot about yourself during this time. I also realize now that I sure am feeling a heck of a lot better than I was a few weeks ago!
So, here is the baby now: http://www.babycenter.com/mybabycenter/116.html
Enjoy!

15 weeks!
Happy Easter Everyone!
Well, I am 15 weeks pregnant now. I am feeling better! Still tired though! If you are interested in baby's development, here is the link:

We are watching my friend's dog currently. My friend (and co-worker) Sarah just adopted the cutest little dog, named Roxie. They say she is Rat Terrier. I am not so sure. She looks like she may have some Whippet in her. Sarah is currently watching another co-worker's dog who is out of town, and that dog is pretty wild and crazy. Plus she all ready has a dog of her own. She didn't want to try to add little Roxie to the mix. So, we are glad to take her for a few days. Bristol and Maggie are very interested in her. Roxie bosses Bristol around! The smallest bossing the biggest around!
Bristol started his agility class on Friday evening! Last Friday was the first class. We did some jumps! And then the tunnel and then the table and practiced walking on the A frame, flat! Bristol did really well, and he really seemed to enjoy himself! He picked all the things to do up pretty fast!!
Today we plan on having lunch at my mom and dad's house. Then we plan on celebrating Christmas with some good friends of the family. Yes, Christmas. We haven't been able to get together with them yet, so it's finally time!
Well, if I want to have clothes to wear, that fit, I better get moving.

14 weeks
Do you know how amazing dogs are? They truly are amazing creatures. We had Canine Companions for independence come into the store yesterday for our staff meeting. First of all, these dogs are so incredibly smart! They way they care for their owners! The stories we heard yesterday were truly amazing! Many moved me to tears! (of course that's pretty easy these days!) We had two “puppy handlers” in. They are volunteers who take these dogs the first 1 ½ to 2 years of the dog's life and start their training. They are in charge of socializing them and teaching them 33 commands. When that time is up, the dogs goes to boot camp for 6 months to a year and gets extensive training. And then they are paired with their new owner. And the way they pair them depends on each person's needs, and the dog's strengths. They do a lot of dogs for people who are paralyzed, deaf, and such. Simply amazing stories!
Our puppy handlers did bring their current puppies in. One was 11 months and the other was 14 months old. Such a great program! I am truly amazed!
Well, I have now made it to 14 weeks pregnant. This past week was a tough week for me. I was extremely tired. On Thursday we had a doctor's appointment. We heard the heartbeat! So far so good! According to my doctor's scale I have finally gained 3 pounds. I was worried, because I wasn't gaining any weight. But the doctor says things are going well so far! Next appointment is May 10. That is the BIG day! We will find out what we are having, boy or girl!!! And we will get to see a lot of the baby! I can't wait for that day!
When you are pregnant, some of the oddest things can happen to your body. I have been stuffy (sinus stuffy) since I found out that I was pregnant. That is very common. So, apparently, are nose bleeds. I hadn't had that symptom until last night. Then I got a whopper of a nose bleed. We almost had to go to the ER. I have never had a nose bleed like that in my life! But, after about 20 minutes and several ice packs and a BOX of tissues, it slowed and then stopped. Our humidity levels right now in Colorado are so low that they have us under a red flag warning. That means fire danger is extremely high! So, I am sure that didn't help my poor nose any. We ran the humidifier last night and we are leaving it to run today, all day. Hopefully that will help my poor nose!
Hubby says I should post the links to what the baby is doing now, at 14 weeks. So, I will post the link here and if you are interested, you can follow the link and learn each week about the baby's progression. The funniest part to me is that they compare the baby to food each week!
http://www.babycenter.com/mybabycenter/114.html
We did more furniture shopping this weekend. We each got a desk. We agreed to start by getting the office clean and organized, and then we will move our way down the hallway and eventually into the baby's room. Bit by bit, we are getting there.
I am off to do laundry!

13 weeks!
Well, as you can see by the last post from Hubby he is STILL getting straight A's! He hasn't gotten anything but! He graduates with his first masters degree this June! And probably the second in December. We will have to see how it works out since there will be an arrival of a little one in the middle there.
Speaking of which, I am now into my second trimester. And so far it's a lot better than the first. The nausea has really subsided. Sure, it rears it's ugly head every now and then, but I am starting to feel human again! I still haven't put on any weight, but my choice of pants I can wear has now dwindled down to 3 choices. It used to be at 4. We have a doctor's appointment this week on Thursday. I am looking forward to that.
Well, I am going to make this short. We are about to go out and look for bookcases for our upstairs hallway. We need somewhere to put kids books! And I need to put in some time cleaning out the room that is going to be the nursery. It's scary to think we only have 6 months left now!
