Well, as usual things have been crazy here! Hubby was traveling the last two weeks, I expect him home any time now. Not sure when he will be traveling again, but March always begins travel season (and travel season tends to end about November).
Kasey is ok, she has a nasty virus at the moment. Possible RSV but certainly not pneumonia. I had to take her for a chest x-ray today. They did not see whatever it is they look for with pneumonia, but they did see the upper level infection meaning a virus. They also saw low lung capacity and a possible problem with her diaphragm. The last 2 thing have nothing to do with her being sick. But once she is well we will have to get her more x-rays to have it checked out. May be a problem, may not. We will find out later.
Courtney has been busy. She is in preschool part time again two mornings a week, Monday and Tuesday. But soon it will only be one morning a week. She finally got her spot in hippotherapy! She will start that on Tuesday mornings in April! Wednesdays are her occupational therapy and every other week her behavioral therapy as well. Thursdays are zoo preschool days and then Friday are MOPS day. So, you can see, our weeks are full!
We also have pulled out of My Gym for now. We are looking to get her into swimming lessons. Since our weeks are already so busy, we can't add something without taking something away! She is super excited to try swimming again! Now we just have to figure out where.
And as a side note, her EEG came out totally normal! Yea!
I have been busy shuttling Courtney around from event to event! At least I get to have MOPS, so that is something for me. And at the moment, poor Kasey is just along for the ride. I sure hope by the time we start adding stuff in for Kasey that we have less for Courtney to do! And even with our current schedule, we are missing speech therapy for Courtney because we are on insurance hold. We are waiting to see next week if we were granted the Scottish Right to pay for speech therapy until insurance will cover the next 2o visits (that is May).
The birds are settling in nicely. Muse is becoming quite our cuddle-bug. She loves for me to pet and scratch her neck. Piglet is being a little stand-offish now, but she is still young, so we have a lot of work to do with her.
Maggie and Bristol are going nuts with the birds. Bristol watches them with a gleam in his eye (not a good gleam). Maggie will actually leap at the cage occasionally. So between the two dogs and Kasey always wanting to stick her fingers in the cage, we have a barrier built around the cage with two tables at the moment. We need to get an expandable baby gate to put around it.
Speaking of Kasey again, she is SO CLOSE to walking. She is now taking several steps on her own. I would say in the next week or two she will be transitioning into walking instead of crawling to get around!
Well, like I said I expect Hubby home any minute, so I should go move laundry before he gets here!
