Work, again

Well, had our first days back at work today. That is never easy after having such a nice vacation.

We had a great time in Florida. We started the very first day by going to the Animal Kingdom right after we checked in. Our room was so neat, it looked out over the "Savannah". The Savannah we overlooked had a few giraffes (2 or 3) about 5 zebras and some wildabeast things. (I think that is what they were, we just called them 'big things'). Every day they were there to look at, right below our room! The pictures will have some views, it was neat. We should have the pictures up in a day or two.

Sunday we spent at Magic Kingdom, rode a few rides, had some fun! Monday was Epcot, we had some showers that afternoon, but we just sat in Germany and had a beer while the rain came down real hard. Then it let up a bit and we walked around the rest of the park with our Mickey Ponchos on.

Tuesday we went to Blizzard Beach, one of the two water parks Disney has. We brought our waterproof camera (thank you to the Carter's) on some of the rides, so that will be fun to see how the pictures turned out. Currently they are being developed. That night was our fancy dinner at Disney's nicest restaurant, Victoria and Alberts. It was wonderful!

Wednesday was back to Epcot for an incredible experience. We did Disney's Dolphins in Depth. You get a behind the scenes look at what things Disney does with their dolphins. Bet you didn't know that Disney even has dolphins! They don't use them for entertainment purposes, they don't have dolphin shows. They use them for research and development. We spent the first hour to hour and a half learning all about them and how they learn and how they work and such. Then the last 45 minutes we got to get in the pool with them! We got to rub them and pet them and make them do a few tricks! It was so incredible! I had so much fun, I could have stayed in that pool forever! They didn't allow pictures so we couldn't take any, but they did take one of us, but my eyes are half closed... Bummer. But it was such a neat experience!

Thursday was another day at Magic Kingdom for a while and then we went to dinner at Wolfgang Puck's and then on to Ciruque du Solie. That was neat to see! Half the things they do scare me to death!

Friday was MGM... we rode Tower of Terror 3 times, and the Aerosmith ride twice! We did have a brief downpour of rain in the morning, but we just put on our trusty Mickey Ponchos and went to indoor rides, which most of them are at MGM. We ate lunch at the 50's cafe which is like eating in 'mom's kitchen'. You get in trouble for putting your elbows on the table and you have to finish your vegetables. The waiter serving the group of tables next to our kept making people get up and sing 'I'm a little teapot' if he caught them with their elbows on the table or if they were playing with their food. It was sooooo funny! Dinner that night was at the Sci-Fi drive in, when you sit in a car! And you watch a big movie screen that shows scenes from old sci-fi movies. It was pretty neat. We have a picture of us somewhere, in the car.

Our last day there, Saturday we got up early (and I mean EARLY). We had to get everything out of our room before we went to our Sunrise Safari breakfast. That was really neat. They took us on the regular safari ride, but before the park opened and just as they were letting all the animals out of the barn for the day. We took about 70 pictures, it was so neat! After the tour was done, we had a wonderful breakfast that was so good! Brian got 2 of the recipes from the chef, because some of the dishes we would have to try again!! We hung out in the park for a little bit before heading back to the hotel to relax before heading to the airport.

We then had a long journey home, and we were so tired by then time we got home! So imagine our surprise when we discovered that while we were gone, some people had snuck in our house and put over 2500 superballs in our house, as well as feathers and some blow up beach toys. There were superballs in our drawers, our shoes, our laundry detergent, our candles, our jackets... just about anywhere you could put a superball there was one. We know who all the culprits are and we just have to say that I hope they watch their back!!

Overall, we had a GREAT time! Disney World is awesome! It was hard to come home, there was still stuff to do and see. You really need about a week and a half to two weeks to be able to see and do everything. This was truly a magical experience for both of us and we had more fun than we thought possible. We stayed at the parks to see all the shows and such and then we would get up early to ensure that we would be at the parks when they opened. We slept about 5 or 6 hours a night on average, so we were pretty tired, but the excitement of it all kept us going. So thank you again to all of you who helped to get us there! We ate some incredible food and saw some incredible things! It meant the world to both of us.
