Well, guess what? We are up to being a 4 dog family.... Temporarily. I was at work on Saturday and there was an adoption fare being held. There were 2 Pomeranians who essentially got dumped at the store. They desperately needed a home for these guys (for someone to take care of them). So, Hubby agreed to let me foster them. I am really not a Pomeranian type of person, so I am patiently waiting for the right family to come along to adopt these guys. They are a boy, BJ and a girl, Mikyla. BJ is 8 years old and Mikyla is 7. I am not sure why their last home had to give them up, but they are getting good care now, so I guess that is all that matters. I had them groomed on Monday, so they look a whole lot better and smell a whole lot better. BJ has really bad breath. And Mikyla needs to have some teeth removed, so they need a little bit of work. But, we shall see. I am going to call their old vet today and see if I can get some more information on them. They are WONDERFUL dogs, they just aren't for me.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch... Bristol graduated from his basic training class last night! He was being a bit stubborn last night, but he has come so far. We will probably continue with classes as the boy needs more training yet. Hubby came to watch the joyous occasion. Bristol got a big cookie and I got a certificate at the end of class. It was pretty low key, but a major milestone for a dog who didn't even know how to sit at the beginning of class 8 weeks ago!
Buddy is doing much better since being sick last week. He had his last antibiotic this morning. What a relief. The little guy isn't allowed to scare me like that anymore!
You know what I was thinking last night as I lay awake for hours because I had to much caffeine yesterday? I was thinking how men everywhere today should be thanking Don Johnson. You know why? Because when he was Crockett on Miami Vice he made stubble cool. So now guys can get away with not shaving and it's cool. Had Don Johnson not done that in the 80's, well, who knows what the world would think of stubbly faces now-a-days! So, men of the world, you better thank Don Johnson, drop him a line, thanking him for his stubbly days on Miami Vice! What ever happened to that great show anyway? I am thankful, however, that the trend of the white and pink sports jackets went out with the 80's... That is one trend that I can do without...
Well, I am going to go try to brush BJ's teeth. For some reason, his breath REALLY gets to me...YUCK!
Oh, and happy 1 year to my blog! I can't believe I have been a blogger for a whole year all ready!
