Welcome to 2006

Here are my resolutions from last year:

I resolve to try to get back to a size 8. I resolve to have less cavities, help my hubby eat well and exercise, maybe he can get down to a size 8 too! I resolve to continue to let friends and family know how much each one of them holds a very special place in my heart, and that I never take any of them for granted.

Let's see, I did lose 15 pounds! Size 8 sometimes. I do have less cavities, but still not perfect. However I have worked hard at taking care of my teeth. I don't think I succeeded in the area of helping Hubby lose weight. And I don't think I put forth a valiant effort in letting friends and family know how much they mean to me.

So, new resolutions for this year:

Maintain the weight, keep up the exercise. Continue to work on my teeth. Continue training with Bristol and Maggie, hopefully get Bristol to be a certified therapy dog this year. Really work with Hubby to lose the excess weight. Also to make an effort in making sure friends and family know that they are important to me and that I don't take them for granted.

Let's hope at the end of this year, I can say I met ALL my resolutions!

So, big news here. First, Suzi and Zak got engaged! December 14th! (I think). So, wedding plans are in the works. Not sure when or where yet, but soon!

And just this past week, Hubby accepted a job offer. Yes, he will be leaving the Utilities and is going to start working for the company I USED to work for, Security Horizon. He will be doing strictly computer security work, plus teaching. The job will require travel, so he will be gone about ½ the time. But he also has to finish school as well, so, it will be a balancing act for a little bit. He is really looking forward to this opportunity!

Other than that, things have still been busy at work. Today the store was closed for New Years Day, but we all went in and did inventory. Tomorrow, we go to the other store in town and do inventory there.

We did have our traditional New Year's party. We fondue'd. It seemed like a smaller crowd this year, all though it probably wasn't. We missed some of our regulars. Some were traveling, and some were ill. But we still rang in the New Year with good friends.

Well, I am exhausted and I have to get up early again tomorrow. I hope all of you had a safe new years and I hope 2006 brings you happiness and joy!
