Hello due date

Well, here we are at my due date! And we have almost a 3 week old! Amazing. How my life has changed? Well, my house is a pit of a mess. And since every doctor I see tells me to rest when she rests, the house stays a pit of a mess.

Courtney rules the roost around here now. We bow to her every whim, and don’t mind doing it! She eats about every 2-3 hours round the clock. On rare occasion we get a 4 hour stretch, but it’s never when I am trying to sleep too. Last night we had a 4 hour stretch from 5am-9am, but during that time, the dogs had to be let out and fed, so I was awake and not able to sleep during that whole 4 hour stretch. But, hopefully the 4 hour stretches will start to come more and more.

She loves her swing, now that we figured out which way to swing her. The swing we got can swing side to side or front to back. We were swinging her side to side, and then I got the brilliant idea to try it the other day one way because she didn’t like the side to side motion. Well, now she likes the swing and will sit in it quietly for some time. She is in it now, awake and happy.

I can tell that she has changed a bit, she is growing for sure. To me she looks more like a baby now instead of a newborn. But strangers are always stopping us and saying, ‘oh, she is so cute and so small’ and then the most popular comment: ‘and look at all that hair!’ Yes indeed, all that hair. I have noticed it has started to thin a bit, hopefully she won’t loose all of it!

Well, I am going to spend time with her, since she is awake, and we don’t get much awake time! We are so grateful for all of our family’s and friend’s support since we told everyone I was pregnant! It really means the world to both of us!
