I was supposed to go to my OBGYN for a 9:15am appt this morning. Yeah, we were not able to get the driveway shoveled in time. So, I am now rescheduled for Monday at 9am.
On Tuesday night when Hubby flew back from his 10 day trip, he went to his Jeep Cherokee (in Denver) and it wouldn’t start. The parking lot guy came and jumped it and he was able to make it home. However, it then would not start without being jumped. He tried to remove the battery on Wednesday but the cables were so corroded he was not able to remove it. We do also have the Wrangler, however, that hasn’t been started in so long, and it too needs to be jumped to start. So, it ended up that we had no 4 wheel drives with the blizzard! We did have my car, however there is no possible way that if we HAD to go somewhere yesterday, we would have been able to. We will have to make sure that doesn’t happen like that again!
Anyway, so this morning, after we shoveled the driveway, we jumped the Cherokee. A plow did come through our neighborhood, but it only plowed 1 street and it wasn’t our street. They plowed the one that runs along the side of our house. So, for me to get in and out of the neighborhood in my car, I have to use that road. Thankfully, I only have a short distance on our street to get to the plowed area. I have no idea whose brilliant idea it was to only plow one street!
So, we got out and once we got moving I started to notice that most other areas did not have as much snow as our neighborhood! Looks like we got hit pretty hard! We had over a foot of snow for sure at our house but I am not sure what our total snowfall would be for our house. I would guess about 16 inches, Hubby guesses 12 inches, but we have drifts that are 3 foot +.
We just came back in from throwing the ball into snow drifts for Bristol. Man that was a riot. We did video tape some of it, because it was so funny! Hubby will get that up on our website.
Anyway, today is a beautiful day! The temp is most likely in the 50’s. Which is causing the snow to melt fast, which is causing flooding. You just have to love Colorado. The forecast for tomorrow is 66 degrees. Such a change from yesterday! We are going tailgating and to watch the Air Force game. It should be interesting! We should be able to make mud pies if need be!
Speaking of tomorrow, I need to go and make potato salad!
