Foggy Day

Look at the size difference between my two girls!

Today was a super foggy day. I love foggy days. I love the gray overcast weather. Hubby may feel a little different at the moment though. He went golfing today. I think it maybe MAYBE hit 40 degrees, so it was a cold, misty, wet day for him.

I know, you are asking yourself, why would he go golfing? Well, one of our freshman cadets we sponsor invited him to play in a tournament up at the Academy. And even though the weather was yucky, the tournament was still on. As those of you who golf know, you only refrain from golfing if it's lightning or hailing. Otherwise you play!

So, the girls and I headed down to my parents house for the day. Courtney loved playing with Nana and Papa as usual. She made muffins, played with Playdoh, read books, and all kinds of things. And when Courtney was napping, my mom took care of Kasey and I got a good solid 3 hour nap. It was wonderful, thanks Mom!!

After dinner, we came home and I gave Courtney a bath. Hubby put Courtney to bed while I fed Kasey. I was sitting in Kasey's room feeding her, which is next to Courtney's room. The house was so quiet except for the rain falling on the roof, and the muffled sounds of Hubby and Courtney singing in the next room as he put her to bed. The dogs were lying around enjoying the peace and quiet also. It was one of those moments that just made me smile and think "now this is the life!"

I finished my class officially yesterday! Looks like I got an A!! I am so glad to be done with Business Law.

Courtney is now part time in day care. So, yesterday (Friday) Courtney stayed home with Kasey and I. I was actually a little nervous about having both girls together by myself. But, the day went well. I think I will be able to manage this just fine. It will take us a while to get into a routine but once we do, it should be okay.

Kasey is doing ok. She is still on Zantac, but I am pretty sure on Tuesday we will have to bump her up to Prevacid. Poor kid still has pretty bad gas, and exhibits some signs of being in pain. So, nights still aren't very smooth yet. I don't even know if Prevacid will fix that. I think only time will.

Hubby and I have a system worked out where I go to bed about 9pm and get a few hours of good sleep. He stays up with Kasey until the last feeding around 11pm, then he comes to bed. I get the midnight to morning shift. So any feedings after midnight I do. Kasey has been in a habit of getting up some time between 4 and 5am and after eating she does not want to be put down. So, for about the last week or more I have been up about 4am every morning for the day! UGH.

But here is what I have learned about the neighborhood thanks to Kasey. Our milk delivery person comes between 4am and 4:15am on Tuesday mornings. Our paper delivery person really needs a new muffler on their car, as their car is quite loud, and they delivery just about 4am also. And did you know that the birds start chirping right about 4am?

Well, it's after 9pm which means it's past my bedtime. So I better go to bed!
