Doolies Day Out

It’s been pretty busy around here. The baby got over her roseola okay. But she now has some not so good looking spots on her chin. I may need to take her in to get them looked at. Tomorrow we go back to the food clinic to discuss the thickened bottles.

Friday night we went out to dinner with Kelly, Tony and the girls. Hailey is walking now. She is going to be quite a character! I see a troublemaker in their future, but a very cute troublemaker, which I am sure she will learn to use to her advantage. The baby enjoys watching her, but really likes their 3 year old, Kinsey. She loves to watch her and smile at her. It’s fun to get all 3 girls together, and see how they are all so different, but at this age, they all get along. We will see what the future holds!

Saturday I went down to my Parent’s house with the baby. My mom and I needed to work on stuff for the upcoming Bridal Shower. When my dad got home, he graciously took the baby for a walk around the block. The two of them disappeared for quite a while and it sounds like they both had fun looking at things.

Today was Doolies Day Out, so we had a cadet! Hubby went and picked him up at 9am, and brought him back to the house. I then made a trip to the store to get lunch items. By the time I got back our new cadet was on the floor playing with the baby and the dogs. This cadet is very different from any other cadet we have had in the past. All of our past cadets were teenagers fresh out of high school. This new one was enlisted, and served two years at a base in California. Then he spent a year here at the prep school. So, he is actually 21. He is still a freshman this year, but he is just a little older than most of the others. He seems very nice and seems like a very positive kid. I think out of all the cadets we have had, we may end up seeing him the most. He spent a lot of time with us today, talking, or playing with the dogs. Typically on Dooliles Day out, the cadets retreat to the basement and we don’t see them unless we ask them to come up for lunch. Our cadet did end up falling asleep watching TV in the basement for a while, but he also spent a lot of time socializing. Bristol just loved him too, which is odd because usually he is pretty timid around strangers.

He had to be back by 5pm, so Hubby took him back up. It will be interesting to see how it works out with him.

Well, I need to go and water my flowers outside, and I just started re-reading the Harry Potter series from the beginning, so I want to go and read some more!

Hope everyone is well!
