It’s amazing how kids can make life so wonderful! Courtney is just as cute as can be now-a-days and I find myself in a better mood all the time! I guess we are finally figuring out this parenting thing, and most of her medical issues are subsiding.
Tomorrow we do go and meet her new ENT. It should be interesting. I have a mound of paperwork to fill out tonight to bring with us tomorrow.
Good news, I have remembered to put a diaper on her everyday this week! Of course the week is not over. I am sure many of you had a good laugh over that. Good! I did too! I laughed almost all that day!
I am also in a really good mood because Susan and Zak are in town. It makes me so happy when we all get to sit down together at my parents’ table for a meal. I love it when they are here. They are really fun to hang with, and I forget just how much I love being with them until they come to visit!
Hubby leaves Friday for Vegas. He will fly back in the night before the wedding. And his mom (Grammy) flies in next Wednesday. I am really looking forward to that as well. I love it when she is here, too.
Susan’s Bridal Shower is this weekend. Tonight I went out and got soda, margarita mix, sangria mix, and such for the party. What ever we have left over, we will take it up to
Work has been super busy this week getting ready for the conference that starts this weekend. People start leaving tomorrow to head that way. Romeo is coming to stay with me for a week and a half while Greg goes to Vegas. This is our busiest time of the year, every year, gearing up for this one. And it will keep me busy until Tuesday or Wednesday next week! And no one will be in the office but me. But on my end, I get to deal with the idiots who can’t follow directions when registering for the training. It’s a long involved process that I won’t go into, but it’s amazing how many people DON’T READ DIRECTIONS!!!
I think I had also mentioned in the past that we were looking to move the office. We had found a space we really liked over off Garden of the Gods. Today the lease fell through. The landlord would not change a little bit of writing in the lease that we wanted changed. The lease stated specifically that we could not hold training classes in the space. Well, guess what, that is what we do! So, we were trying to have them change the lease to say that we could. He had verbally said it was okay to hold the classes, so, we wanted to cover our rear ends by having it changed in the lease. But he refused, so we said NO THANKS and backed out. So, the process starts over again of looking for a new place. We have all ready given notice of leave at our current space, so we really need to find a new place. But we don’t have to be out of our current office until November, so we have time.
I did spend last Sunday down at my parents’ house with Susan, Zak and my mom and dad. We worked on the seating chart, Susan and I cleaned the kitchen, and Hubby came down and joined us for a dinner of steaks, homemade potato salad, and corn. We ate outside because it was a beautiful night.
For those of you that live in the CO area, if you know of ANYONE who would be interested in owning a Boarder Collie puppy who is about 9 months old, let me know. There is one condition, this dog is in our agility class and the current owner would not give the dog to someone else unless they swore up and down that they would continue with the dog in agility.
The dog acts just like a puppy and I think this lady has no patience for it. It really was not a good choice for her. She is the type of person that if she wants a dog, she needs to adopt an older dog who is completely trained, and a couch potato. So, like I said, if you, or anyone you know, wants a dog and you or they are interested in agility, this dog is all ready in the second class!
Did you know that if you recycle just 1 aluminum can, that it can save the equivalent energy to run your TV for 3 hours! That is just 1 can! Please, recycle!
Well, I am off to fill out 3 pages of paperwork for tomorrow! Oh, and I finished the newest Harry Potter book yesterday. I am so sad to see it end.
