Falls here

Well, summer's over weather wise here. It has really started to cool down and you can just feel that change in the air. Kind of a bummer, but at least the weather is still pretty decent at the moment. The weatherman today was teasing saying that the cold front coming in on Monday may bring snow. I know that Pikes Peak has a few inches of snow on it already after some of the cold wet weather we have been having. I am not ready for snow...

This week has been busy too. Our friends, the Perry family, came to town late Wednesday night. My friend Scott got stationed in Okinawa, so they are on their way to Seattle to park their car in the storage facility for cars for overseas family there. The military will turn his car once a month and move it for him as well as run the air conditioner to keep everything running smooth.

So, on their way from Kentucky to Seattle they came through town here. Scott's mom is also with them for the trip to Seattle. Scott and Eva have a girl a month younger than Courtney, so Courtney had a playmate for a day. Scott and Eva left Gabi at the house to play with Courtney while they went up Pikes Peak (with Scott's mom too). They took the Cog Railroad and they said there was several inches of snow on the top.

They had to move on early this morning though. They were planning to get to Yellowstone today and see Old Faithful. They also plan to get to Seattle in enough time to be able to see the Space Needle. Here is a picture of Gabi and Courtney together and the next picture is of all of us after dinner at our house the other night.

Last Wednesday Kasey started her physical therapy. She has mild torticolis. I guess she is following in her sister's footsteps. She is looking at about 3 months of therapy. Not too bad! There was another set of twin boys just about her age there for the same thing when we were there. Sounds like it's a pretty common thing.

Today I had my second MOPS. I think I told you about them before. It stands for Mothers of PreScholars. I had a great time and its great to get together with other moms to discuss being a mom. Courtney goes to a room with other 3 year old's where they do fun activities like a craft, coloring, etc. Today they went up to the gym they have and played with balls. They also have an outdoor playground but everything was still too wet after the last few days of rain. Kasey goes to the nursery. They always comment on what a happy baby she is.

Kasey is indeed a happy baby. This kid wakes up happy and is just about always happy. She does have her time when she fusses. She fusses if she is hungry, or has a dirty diaper, but that's really about it. We are so lucky! Of course, on the flip-side she has decided that she wants to get up for the day at about 4:30am. UGH! So, I get up with her for about an hour, then she finally decides it's time to go back to bed for a few more hours. But I can handle an early morning since she is such a happy baby! Courtney is still loving being a big sister. I caught this precious moment with my camera the other night.

I don't think I ever got pictures up of our new Focus. So here is a picture of it.

My mom is doing well. Still recovering. She still gets tired easy so she takes lots of naps, but that is ok! She is going to start chemotherapy on Oct 7. We, my mom and I, are also going to be taking a trip to Maine in October to celebrate her 40th reunion of her nursing school graduation. She is really looking forward to it. We aren't sure if my sister will get to go with us or not yet, but we are hoping she will. Depends on her work stuff.

Well, I need to go and get some chores done since the kids are in bed now! Hope everyone is well!
