Things are pretty much the same here! At least we aren't freezing anymore. The temps have turned back to normal-ish. The other day it was 60 degrees! It was a little windy, which made it feel a little chilly, but still nice enough that we can get in some outside time!
Kasey is at such a great stage (age). She is getting more and more words! She now says Lemonade! And pretty well too! She always wants to talk to Papa on the phone, and Daddy on the computer. So, if she sees me sitting at the computer she comes up and says "Dada, Dada!" Sometimes she brings me the real phone, hands it to me and says "Papa!" (Papa is my dad.) But every time she is on one of her play phones she is always saying "Hi Papa!" She calls Papa a lot! And for some very odd reason she thinks that the door stop in her bathroom is a phone. After her baths she gets down on the floor, and starts yelling into the doorstop "Nana! Papa!"
The other day she shocked me when we were in the car. She started saying "Nana, Papa, House!" I of course got the point, however we were running errands, and not heading to Nana and Papa's house. But she is starting to learn how to get her point across! And when she wants to eat, she lets you know by yelling "EAT!" And she is now also starting to drink out of a cup while sitting at the table! She is growing up so fast. I want to freeze her just where she is.
We got Courtney a game called Zingo for Valentine's Day. We had purchased it for the Z's for Christmas, and they have been saying it's pretty good! So, we played a few games Valentine's Night. It is indeed pretty fun! And Courtney gets a kick out of it. She wants to play it all the time.
Speaking of Valentines Day. Courtney, Kasey and I made cupcakes that day. Then I surprised the girls by having cupcakes for dinner! Well, we ate our cupcakes first. Then after cupcakes I made breakfast for dinner. Not only did I do that, but I made pink eggs for the girls. Ok, the pink scrambled eggs didn't go over real well, but I thought they were cute!
Courtney had a Valentine's Party at preschool. There was all kinds of food, and of course the kids exchanged Valentine's. I had gotten Courtney a box of Princess one's. The kids were required to sign their name on all of them. She did a great job! Great practice for writing! And then they went right into learning about mail and the Post Office this week.
They now have a little plastic shopping cart in her room at school. Kasey discovered it and every time we walk into the room, she goes and grabs it and starts pushing it all over. There we were in the middle of all the chaos with drop off the other morning and there is Kasey in the middle of everyone pushing the shopping cart. It was so cute, I was wishing I had my camera. But I don't even think a picture would capture just how cute the whole scene was.
Well, other than that, things have been pretty much the same around here. Jared (from the P family) should arrive home from Iraq on March 1st. We are all planning to be there to meet him at the airport. We were all working on posters to welcome him home last night when the rest of the P family was here for dinner.
We are heading to Florida for Spring Break. I told Grammy and Granddad when they retired there that my plan was to head down every spring break! I asked them tonight if they think we will be able to swim in the pools while we are there (if the weather will be nice enough). They informed me that it was 80 degrees today, so yea, the pools will be open! YEA!!!
We are also going to surprise Courtney with a trip down to Disney World one day. Not only that, but we got reservations for lunch with the Princesses! I think she will probably flip. We are not going to share this information with her, because it's already hard enough with her knowing we are going to Florida to see Grammy and Granddad. She asks me about once a day when we are going. So, I am not going to leak a visit to the Princesses to her, because it would make the next month a very long one!
Well, I need to go and prepare an egg dish for tomorrow's MOPS! Hugs to all of you!
