We have been having some beautiful weather here as of late. We took advantage of it this weekend by going to the zoo. We also met up with our friends there, so the girls all got to enjoy the beautiful weather and animals together.
We packed a lunch to eat at the zoo, and while we were sitting in the lunch area the peacocks were circling. It was pretty cute! And the whole time we were eating lunch, Courtney kept asking to go on the ‘round go merry’. It is so cute the names they come up with for things. So, after lunch she had a ride on the “round go merry” with her friends. And she sat on a horse and she threw a FIT when it was over.
Speaking of making words up, I have to tell you a few of the words that Courtney says for things that just are a little off and oh so cute:
She calls a blanket a ‘blank-let’
She calls medicine ‘mediline’
She calls a ball ‘a ball-y’
and I know there are more, but I can’t think of any off the top of my head at the moment.
I am having a smooth 27th week of pregnancy, knock on wood. The baby continues to be active. But I am starting to complain of my arms being shorter. Doing things like giving Courtney a bath and such is getting harder and harder. I swear my arms are shrinking in length. I didn’t notice it as much the first time I was pregnant because I didn’t have a little one to care for, but I really notice it now!
I am also starting to notice how I get tired quick again now. Things wear me out fast at the moment. Between recovering from my cold, less lung capacity and everything else I could nap after almost any activity.
We had our 3D ultrasound last week but the baby was face down and she had EVERYTHING in front of her face. She had a hand on her forehead, the other one moving back and forth in front of her face. She also kept putting her feet in front of her face, and the umbilical cord was right there too! So, we get to give it another shot in a few weeks. I can’t believe within 3 months she will be here! I can’t wait! Now we just need to prepare!
I started my next semester of classes, or just class actually. I am taking this one on line to accommodate the pregnancy. It’s a little overwhelming at the moment, but I will figure it out. Plus Hubby is great at the online school thing, so he can help me out!
Things here are just starting to get hectic again. My class has started, Hubby’s two classes he is teaching just started, and we are just getting ready to enter the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Plus Hubby starts traveling again this week.
Well, it’s just about time for bed. Hope everyone is well!
